Our humidor carries everyday favorites and harder-to-find sticks: Macanudo, Romeo y Julieta, Montecristo, Arturo Fuente, Oliva, Rocky Patel, AVO, My Father and more. Almost everything is sold as a single, so you can try a cigar before you commit to a box. Each product page shows the strength, and where we have them, the wrapper, origin and tasting notes. Order online and pick it up at the Lynbrook shop in about an hour.

The Humidor: a quick guide

Choosing a wrapper. The wrapper leaf does most of the talking. A Connecticut wrapper is light tan and smooth, usually mild and creamy (My Father Connecticut, Macanudo Café). A Habano or Corojo wrapper is reddish-brown with more spice and pepper (Gran Habano Corojo #5, Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Habano). A Maduro wrapper is dark and oily, and tastes sweeter and richer, like cocoa or coffee (Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro, Punch Rothschild Maduro). Dark doesn't always mean strong: strength comes mostly from the filler, so check the meter on each page.

Choosing a size. A Robusto (about 5 × 50) smokes in 45 minutes to an hour. A Toro (about 6 × 50) gives you an extra 15–20 minutes. Shorter cigars like the Oliva Nub or the Tatiana Mini tin fit a short break.

First cigar? Start mild to medium: a Connecticut or a Macanudo is hard to go wrong with. Cut just the cap, toast the foot before you draw, and don't inhale.

Keeping them. A cigar kept outside a humidor dries out within days. If you won't smoke it this week, keep it in a sealed bag with a humidity pack, or buy singles as you go.
