What we collect

Information you give us

• Contact and order details: name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, and order history.
• Account details: your login email and password if you create an account. Passwords are stored encrypted, and we can't see them.
• Age verification details: date of birth and, if requested, a photo of your ID. See "Age verification" below.
• Messages: anything you send us by email, phone or through the site.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived on the site.
• Cookies: small files that keep your cart and login working, and help us understand how the site is used. See "Cookies" below.

Payment information

Card payments are processed by our payment processor. Your full card number goes directly to them and is never stored on our servers.

How we use it

• To process, ship and support your orders.
• To verify that you're 21 or older and to meet federal and state tobacco laws, including required reporting to state tax authorities for certain shipments.
• To calculate and pay sales and tobacco taxes.
• To prevent fraud, underage purchases and misuse of the site.
• To reply to your questions.
• To send order updates by email. Marketing emails only go out if you sign up, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
• To improve the site and our product selection.

Age verification

We use a third-party verification service to confirm your age at checkout. It checks the name, address and date of birth you provide against public and commercial records. If you upload an ID, it's used only to confirm your age and identity. We keep verification records as long as the law requires, and use them for nothing else.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that help us run the store: our payment processor, age verification service, shipping carriers, website host, and email service. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
• Government authorities, when the law requires it. This includes state tax agencies that require shipment reports for tobacco, nicotine and vapor products, and responses to valid legal requests.
• A buyer of our business, if Öasis is ever sold or merged, under the same protections.

Cookies

We use cookies that the site needs to work (cart, checkout, login) and cookies that help us measure site use. You can choose which non-essential cookies to allow in the cookie banner, and you can block cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may stop working.

How long we keep it

We keep order and verification records as long as tax and tobacco laws require, generally several years. We keep account information until you ask us to delete your account. Other data is deleted when we no longer need it.

How we protect it

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to customer data is limited to staff who need it. We follow the New York SHIELD Act's requirements for safeguarding personal information. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

Your choices

• Access or correct your information: log in to your account, or contact us.
• Delete your account: contact us. We'll delete what we can and keep only the records the law requires us to keep.
• Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under your state's law. Contact us to use them.

Minors

This site is for adults 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it.

ZIP code lookup at checkout

When you type your ZIP code at checkout, we fill in your city and state from a list stored on our own site. Your ZIP code isn't sent anywhere else. ZIP code data from GeoNames, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
