How it smokes

Dámaso is Padrón's Connecticut-wrapped line, and reviewers keep saying it isn't a typical mellow Connecticut: it reads more like a Padrón in a lighter wrapper. In a blind panel, one taster loved its spice and transitions while another found it a bit thin. A smoker who doesn't usually like Connecticuts said he could smoke plenty more of the No. 12.

Good to know

Robusto, about 55 to 65 minutes. Thin Connecticut wrappers can be delicate, so a clean, shallow cut and an even toast help. A good bridge for someone moving from lighter cigars toward Padrón.
